Kerala Tour (08 Days)

Kerala historically known as Keralam, is a state in South India on the Malabar coast. It was formed on 1 November 1956 following the States Reorganisation Act by combining Malayalam-speaking regions. Kerala is the thirteenth largest state by population and is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken and the official language of the state.

Day 1 : Arrive Kochi

Arrive in Kochi, the commercial capital and Kerala’s most cosmopolitan city, Kochi along with its mainland part, Ernakulam, is also known as the Queen of the Arabian sea. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to the hotel. This afternoon, you will visit the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch palace and the Chinese fishing nets. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2 : Kochi – Munnar (Approx. 130 Kms /4 Hrs)

Today you will be transferred by road to Munnar. A picture-book town with winding lanes, Munnar is one of the most exotic hill stations of Kerala. Proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 : Munnar

In the morning you will proceed on a sightseeing tour of picturesque Munnar. Visit Rajamalai, a high peak where you may see Neel Thars (mountain goats), and the Muttupetty Dam. Continue your tour to Echo Point. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4 : Munnar – Thekkady (Approx.120 Kms / 3-4 Hrs)

Today you will be transferred to Thekkady, situated an altitude of 900-1,800 meters. The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chins of hills and spice scented plantations. This evening, enjoy a boat safari on the Periyar Lake to view the varied wildlife of the region. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 : Thekkady - Alleppey (Houseboat)

In the morning you will board to Alleppey. The famous houseboat of Kerala, cruise through the unique of lakes, lagoons, canals, rivers and India’s most enchanting areas – a rural, riverine expanse of verdant coconut groves and rice fields. Overnight stay on houseboat.

Day 6 : Alleppey - Kovalam (Approx.75 Kms / 2-3 Hrs)

After breakfast Proceed by road to Kovalam, so perfect a beach, it’s almost a picture postcard cliché with its age-old black rocks, swaying palms, warm sands and gentle surf. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 : Kovalam

This entire day is at leisure or take an optional sightseeing and shopping tour of Thiruvanthapuram. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8 : Depart Kovalam (Approx. 13 Kms / 30 minutes)

Transfer to Thiruvanthapuram airport / railway station for your journey back home.
